Yep. It’s Sunday and we’re off to the races. Waiting for the weather to warm up a bit before we head out on our long dog walk. Lots of talk about the Omicron variant. Yes, it sure does sound like a Transformer.
Anyway. Early discussion and early data looks to make the case that the Omicron isn’t as deadly as we perhaps thought with hospitalizations being down. This makes herd immunity a better possibility against it as more people just deal with it and move on. Hopefully, this remains the case. Some good discussions that I’ve been following:
Also this guy from the UK as it’s been tougher and tougher to find more independent analysis. A good piece that was co-signed by Paul Offit – is worth a read. He was a bit proponent of the initial vaccinations but is skeptical of boosters.
