Good morning! Let’s get the blog started this morning. I know I’ve made some rather lackluster attempts to maintain a daily blog, but I promise to do better moving forward. DJ, let’s kick things off with some music! Lets go Dido
One of the most memorable moments in the Christmas classic *Love Actually* is the poignant scene where Juliet realizes that Mark has secretly been in love with her for some time. If you’re among the few who haven’t seen *Love Actually*, make sure to watch it this holiday season.
Moving on….
Rory appeared on a podcast and ofcourse a lot of the discussion went to talk of the Masters. Interestingly he talked about the gift that he received from his caddy. An autographed scorecard of Augusta National with all the players that have won the Grand Slam. His caddy asking him if he wanted to sign it. Rory’s response,”Absolutely not. I just hope I don’t have to ask Scottie to sign it next year.”
The President vs Rob Riner
I assume by now everyone has heard the comments made by the President. If not, you can read them below Eric Weinstein’s response. I also find it comical when I hear the term “Trump Derangement Syndrome.” No, I don’t get angry—I literally laugh.
Why? Because so many people I’ve interacted with think it’s a legitimate physical or mental diagnosis. No, it’s not. It’s a made-up political term. Usually, when people who comment with me are so delusional that they believe it’s real, I respond, “Well, if we’re allowed to just make up diagnoses, you’re suffering from RDS (Reality Derangement Syndrome).”
We need to stop this bitterness and recognize that what unites us is far greater than what divides us. We need to stop looking for reasons to hate and instead remember that we are all Americans. We all sink or swim together.
Christmas
I’m not sure how you feel about celebrating Christmas, but for me, it has always been a joyous time of reflection and gratitude for the moments spent with friends, family, and loved ones. While it may sound similar to Thanksgiving, I embrace this sense of appreciation during Christmas as well. Personally, I firmly believe in keeping Christ at the center of Christmas, as I’ve never separated Him from the celebration.
It’s always nice to have all the family together. Step-daughter Lauren flies in from London. Everybody gets together on Christmas Eve, and rinse repeat, and we do it again on Christmas Day. Enjoy these moments, as you never know when life changes.
