Good morning! The blog is back, and this time I’m fully committing to a more consistent approach—kind of like that gym membership you swear you’ll use. Like it or not, I’ll be publishing regularly. Let me be upfront—I’m not an expert, guru, or some wise sage. Honestly, I’m more like that person who Googles everything five times before making a decision. I’m navigating life just like everyone else, fueled by caffeine, curiosity, and the occasional existential crisis. My aim here is to share thoughts and commentary on topics that catch my attention—basically, whatever rabbit hole I’ve fallen into this week.
With that note, lets have the DJ kick off some music. Have you heard of Bob Moses?
Michael Jordan
Ironically, the next day. The guy who rented him the house posted the video on social media.
The Weird. Gets Weirder
I was having a conversation with one of my golf buddies about who’s resonating and representing the Democratic party the most right now. I told him, “Dude. It pains me to say this. But it’s Margarie Taylor Green.”
She’s got children in their 20s and is bringing up the cost of their health care premiums, cost of living, bills, etc. Bottom line. It’s just not sustainable.
Mark Cuban
I enjoyed his comments on the state of our health care system.
Boat Strikes
It’s unbelievable that this has begun. We’re targeting boats in international waters without proper due process—simply because we suspect they might be involved in something illicit. Is this really who we’ve become? When can you do this with justification? When you’re at war. We’re not at war with Venezuela. Also, on a comical note, anyone who says these outboard boats are on their way to the United States would have to stop twenty times for fuel just to get to Miami.
Excellent Television at it’s Best
I had a conversation about one of my favorite moments in television that’s quite powerful. I’ll give you a quick setup.
This is one of those West Wing moments that reminds you why the show still matters. In a quiet, late-night conversation, Toby Ziegler—a man who carries his principles like armor—admits to President Bartlet that he pulled strings to secure an honor guard at a burial for someone who served and then slipped through the cracks. It’s a small act with big implications: compassion walking straight into the bureaucracy.
