Tiger Woods Announces New Brand, LIV Golf in Vegas, Waste Management Phoenix Open, Trump’s Rally, and Bridesmaids Scene

Good morning! It’s a beautiful day to start working on a new blog post and let us see what kind of stuff I can find. Tiger is announcing his new brand/branding as his partnership with Nike is over. Perhaps Nike wanted too much money for a lifetime, or perhaps Phil Knight wasn’t happy when Tiger was injured and he was seen playing in a FootJoy shoe. Gone is the Nike Swoosh.

Hello new Tiger Woods logo. I’m still trying to understand it. I get the middle is supposed to be a Tiger. But the rest of it?!?

Staying in the golf world for a bit. LIV Golf (The Saudi backed venture) is playing in Vegas. The crowds are abysmally small. What’d you expect the weekend of the Super Bowl? Jon Rahm had an issue coming down to the final closing holes. He wanted quiet from the fans. He must have just loved the booming music he couldn’t silence. He’s got to be wondering about the decision he made.

The exact opposite of the LIV event, where the crowds are terrible, is Waste Management.

The Waste Management Phoenix Open is widely recognized as one of the most lively and electrifying events on the PGA Tour. Renowned for its vibrant atmosphere and enthusiastic crowds, the tournament has gained a reputation as the “Greatest Show on Grass.” Each year, this event attracts thousands of spectators who gather to witness exceptional golfing talent amidst an unparalleled party ambiance. The focal point of this tournament is undeniably the infamous 16th hole, also known as “The Coliseum.” Here, a stadium-like setting accommodates around 20,000 spectators, creating an electrifying and raucous environment unlike any other in professional golf.

The festive atmosphere at the Waste Management Phoenix Open extends beyond the 16th hole, as the entire tournament is imbued with energy and excitement. The event features live music, a wide array of food and beverage options, and various entertainment offerings, making it a hotspot for both golf enthusiasts and those seeking an exhilarating social experience. Notably, the tournament’s unique blend of competitive golf and festive celebration has contributed to its popularity, drawing large crowds and fostering an unforgettable experience for players and spectators alike.

This is what it’s like at the open of the event trying to get to the 16th hole on the weekend.

Today, for the first time their tournament history they had to close the doors and temporarily suspend alcohol. Relax people. It was only temporary.

Moving on….

Trump held a rally last evening where he was mentioning how good his poll numbers are. Only problem? He mentioned that his poll numbers are great against Obama. Even mentioned that he had beaten him.

Today,, at a rally, he responded to why he said that. Yep. You guessed it. It’s because Obama is running the country. You can’t make this stuff up.

If ever there was a time for an independent party. Now is that time. Sadly, tribalism is a major force to be reckoned with.

Lastly….

I’ll leave you with one of my favorite scenes from Bridesmaids. Gotta love a woman that has to shit in her wedding dress.
