I had a few days off after the Super Bowl, mostly due to my laziness. The Super Bowl was fun. Excellent company, good Super Bowl squares (though I didn’t win a quarter), and I went and got beer from a local brewer for the event.
The commercials were a big story, as they always are. Game was good as I’ve read it set a viewership record. The commercials were decent with some taking some spotlight. Usher was terrible. But that’s just me, perhaps.
Eric Weinstein is a prominent mathematician, economist, and managing director of Thiel Capital. He is known for his substantial contributions to the field of mathematical physics and for hosting the thought-provoking podcast “The Portal.” Weinstein has made multiple appearances on “The Joe Rogan Experience,” engaging in in-depth and thought-provoking discussions on a wide range of topics. His compelling insights and unorthodox perspectives have captivated audiences and contributed to his reputation as a captivating and influential intellectual.
I enjoy the shows that he’s on as he’s always playing mental chess. He recently appeared on the Modern Wisdom show. A good clip is below about why Jeffrey Epstein was talking with Stephen Hawking.
Tiger is back at Riviera as a player and a host. Talk about a busy week for him. As many of you know, he’s started his own re-branding with TaylorMade called ‘Sunday Red’. It was kind of a tribute to his mother, who always was the encouraging force for him to wear red on Sundays. I’m more curious about why things went south with Nike. My speculation is that Tiger wasn’t moving product the same way that the Jordan brand was, so then why sign him to a longer-term deal? Nike has moved the Jordan brand into their product divisions, from Football to golf.
His new product line Sunday Red….
I’ve been exercising more of late and taking fitness much more seriously. Taking weight training to a much more regimented level, and surprise surprise the weight has been falling off with it. One of the tools I’ve been using to help with HGH (Human Growth Hormone) and my recovery is a Sauna. A good interview with Dr. Rhonda Patrick on all the benefits.
RFK Jr. Whoops…..
RFK. Jr. had a really good Super Bowl commercial that mentioned the Kennedy family name. That’s probably putting it mildly. Federal laws restrict that candidates aren’t allowed to coordinate or talk with their Super PAC.
A political Super PAC, or Political Action Committee, is an independent organization that can raise and spend unlimited amounts of money in elections. However, a Super PAC is prohibited from donating directly to candidates or coordinating with them. Super PACs are required to disclose their donors but can accept contributions from individuals, corporations, and unions. Their primary purpose is to influence elections through various means, such as advertisements, in support of or against political candidates. These organizations have played a significant role in shaping political landscapes and influencing election outcomes.
The keyword is independent. They’re supposed to run independent and support a candidate. Well, RFK’s Super PAC ran the below advertisement for him.
His family was not too happy about it.
Lastly….Steve Garvey
If you’re going to claim you’re an outsider, not one of the normal politicians. Then, at least, have the decency to not talk to people or assume they’re stupid. Steve was asked how he planned to vote in the next election with it being that he voted for Trump in the last two elections. Why’s it so hard for him to say ‘I’m voting for Trump again.’ I mean, it’s obvious, isn’t it? Why give people the runaround with this answer of ‘It’s between God, my family, etc?
You (Steve) tried to paint yourself as different and not the usual. But, when you do this, it is more of the same. Just give people straight answers and let them do what they want with it.
Paige from Bob does Sports
With all of their great banter back and forth. How is Paige not with Bob? Cmon.
