Let’s get something straight for a minute. I’m not running this blog to be a know-it-all. I’m doing it for the giggles. To sprinkle some perspective on life. Maybe a perspective not seen on certain things. But hey, I’m calling it as I see it. Am I flawless? Hell no. Do I pretend to be? Hell no.

I was listening to Joe Rogan and Andrew Hubberman the other day, and they were discussing something completely different: politics. He’s a Neurobiologist who dives deep into the science and health world daily, so when they jumped into politics, I was interested to see where it would go.

They start down the rabbit hole about how anger is such an easy emotion to tap into, and that’s why it works so well with politics. I would argue that tribalism has made that much more effective, this idea that you’re fighting for a team. What has your team ever done for you?

That being said. I often think taking a step back and looking at a subject from the outside as Jocko describes is a valuable tool.
