Taylor Swift’s latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” Unless you’ve been living under a rock you know she’s today’s biggest artist with albums and concerts grossing over a billion dollars. It seems all of her albums deal with some sort of heartbreak, etc. It just seems like the same old same old. But, then again I highly doubt I’m the demographic she’s going after. The album includes the track “Fortnight,” a collaboration with Post Malone, known for its catchy melodies, and “Florida!!!,” a song that benefits from the unique blend of Swift’s and Florence + The Machine’s distinctive styles.
It appears that some individuals are finding it difficult to accept your perspectives on the Taylor Swift album! 😂 Upon receiving the news that my daughter had been listening to the new album, she promptly referred to Taylor as ‘the goat’ after a brief exchange of texts. While I acknowledge Taylor’s musical talent, I remain hesitant to categorize her as the greatest of all time. Additional evidence may be required to sway my opinion on this matter.
Pearl Jam also released their new album. As a huge fan of theirs from the 90s, and my original favorite taste in music was 90s grunge music, I wanted to like this album. I still haven’t heard a song I really liked. So that’s strike two in the music department.
Time Passes
As the years go by, it becomes increasingly clear that nothing really changes. I recently tuned in to George Carlin’s hilarious rants about society and our peculiar expressions. It’s funny how what he said back then still holds true today!
