I’m heading this morning to see the new Deadpool and Wolverine film. I was asked how Wolverine could still be alive after what we saw in Logan. DC and Marvel play around with these concepts of many parallel Earths running simultaneously.
The Marvel Multiverse encompasses an infinite number of parallel universes, each with its own unique version of reality. These parallel universes, also known as alternate realities or dimensions, exist simultaneously and are often referred to as “Earths” with different numerical designations (e.g., Earth-616, Earth-1610, Earth-199999, etc.).
Key Aspects of the Marvel Multiverse
1. Infinite Realities:
• The Multiverse includes an infinite number of universes, each with its own distinct characteristics. These universes can be very similar to the main Marvel Universe (often referred to as Earth-616), or they can be drastically different.
2. Different Versions of Characters:
• Within the Multiverse, there are countless versions of the same characters, each shaped by the specific circumstances of their respective universe. For example, Spider-Man exists in many forms across the Multiverse: Peter Parker is the classic Spider-Man on Earth-616, but on Earth-1610, Miles Morales takes up the mantle. There are also alternate versions like Spider-Gwen (Gwen Stacy as Spider-Woman) and Spider-Man Noir (a 1930s version of Spider-Man).
3. Diverging Timelines:
• These different versions often result from divergent timelines. A single decision or event in one universe might lead to a drastically different outcome in another. This concept is central to stories where characters from one universe interact with or travel to another.
4. Crossovers and Interactions:
• Characters from different universes within the Multiverse can and do interact. This has been the basis for many storylines, such as “Secret Wars,” where different versions of characters come together, or the “Spider-Verse” events, which bring together multiple Spider-Men and women from across the Multiverse.
So yes. One version of Logan died on one Earth. I still get kinda choked up with this scene with Daphne Keen adjusting his cross to pay tribute that he was the best – THE – X-Men.
It’s also excellent that they’ve leaked that she (Daphne Keen) will return in ‘Deadpool and Wolverine.’ You can see her trailer footage below.

Jesse Ventura
Say what you want about Jesse Ventura, but he’s a distinguished Navy Seal. Taking or leaving his politics, he decided to serve his country at the highest level. That’s commendable. I also agree with him that Veterans critiquing other veterans on their service and what they did is unbecoming of the values of the United States Marines and most Veterans.
Brazilian Air Flight
Some first-person footage of the Brazilian Air Flight was released. Damn. Scary.
