My Cubs are hit or miss. Struggle bus, definitely. The team when they’re firing on all cylinders are one of the best in Major League Baseball and can compete with anyone. The problem? Their main slugger is going thru a hitting slump right before the crucial closing weeks of the season. Kyle Tucker. He was rumored to be the three to four hundred million dollar get this free agency season and that stock has greatly diminished. He hit a ground-out to first base, and made almost no attempt at running to first and the fans let him have it last week.
Cubs Manager Craig Counsell is giving him the week off to kind of sort things out. If you’re the Cubs, there are just too many pieces falling apart at the wrong time. But on the bright side, they’re still hanging onto the wild card, and they did beat the Brewers today.
