Hurricane Milton

Florida got hit badly by Hurricane Milton, leaving a trail of destruction that is hard to comprehend. I feel terrible for the people there, who are facing unimaginable challenges in the aftermath. Devastated homes are scattered across communities, rendering families displaced and vulnerable. Flooding has inundated streets, making even the simplest tasks like accessing food and medical care a daunting endeavor. Many people are without power and water, struggling to maintain their daily routines while grappling with the emotional toll of the disaster. The recovery process will be long and arduous, demanding strength and resilience from everyone affected as they work to rebuild their lives amid the chaos.

Hopefully, our Congress gets off its asses and approves additional funding for FEMA to help these people that desperately need it.

How absolutely dumb do you have to be to believe this? Schools won’t even administer ibuprofen without parental consent.

Here’s what’s really going on. I did some investigative reporting. If you dropped off little Andrew and at the end of the day you have little Lauren getting into your car, you’ve got the wrong damn kid in the car. You picked up someone else’s kid. 🤣

Padres

The Padres looked like they were stuck in neutral. Just couldn’t get the offense going fully like they had in brief points the previous two games. We have a small group text exchange with some people in my golf group. Two of us are rooting for the Padres while another is a Dodger fan. Last evening, we got a text tonight…” from the Dodger fan ,”Awfully quiet.” Yes. We were also quiet when the Padres hung on to beat the Dodgers at home in game three after the big innings.

I’ll take it a step further though. The Dodgers after their (Competitive Balance Tax) have a payroll that costs them $320.9 million dollars. Padres have a balance of $250 million dollars. If you don’t give Ohtani the deferred payment and start paying him what he’s due now, the roughly $70 million dollars, then this Dodgers team is over $420 million dollars with the CBT. Think about that. Realistically a $420 million dollar team that could potentially lose in their first round to a $250 million dollar team. They’d be the most expensive team ever assembled in MLB history and might lose in their first round.

Lastly…..

In the “Seinfeld” episode titled “The Yada Yada” (Season 8, Episode 19), the character of Nikki is introduced as a beautiful woman who uses her looks to get what she wants.
