A Special Thank You to Our Animal Heroes

Good afternoon. It’s January 11th, and let’s get started. DJ, play that music. It seems like a great day for some Pearl Jam and their song ‘Footsteps.’ Eddie Vedder can hit those high notes.

So about Canada….

Former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau appeared on Jake Tapper’s show, providing a thoughtful analysis regarding the notion of Canada becoming the 51st state. He emphasized that Canadians are sovereign and take pride in their identity of ‘not being Americans’, which reflects a deep-rooted sense of national pride and cultural distinction that Canadians hold dear. Trudeau articulated that while there may be various opinions surrounding the idea of closer integration with the United States, the fundamental essence of Canadian identity is not something to be diminished or forsaken. Furthermore, he highlighted a significant concern: the impending tariffs that would ultimately impose additional costs on Americans, potentially disrupting trade relationships and economic stability for both nations. This dialogue underscores the importance of maintaining a distinct Canadian voice in a rapidly changing geopolitical landscape, where sovereignty and financial interests must be navigated delicately.

How about some Neil Degrasse Tyson

He was asked who the most brilliant scientist ever was. His answer was Isaac Newton. His answer for why was particularly good.

Maverick’s Training Adventures: A High-Flying Good Time

Get ready for a wild ride as we dive into the exhilarating scenes of Maverick testing his trainees in Top Gun: Maverick! These moments are a rollercoaster of thrills, laughs, and intense competition that keep you on the edge of your seat. Maverick, the cool-as-a-cucumber pilot, challenging a group of eager, slightly nervous, but undeniably talented trainees. Each test is like a high-stakes game of aerial tag, where the skies are filled with heart-pounding maneuvers and witty banter. From gravity-defying stunts to unexpected surprises, these scenes not only push the trainees to their limits but also give us a delightful mix of adrenaline and camaraderie. Buckle up, because these are some of my favorite moments that really take flight!

Mel Gibson

Remember when he was all that? On all the magazines – sexiest guy, the Lethal Weapon stud – my how he has fallen into the land of the wacko conspiracies. It seems like just yesterday he was the shining star of Hollywood, captivating audiences with his charm and undeniable talent. Now, however, he has become somewhat of a paradox, trading in the glitz and glam for wild theories that seem to defy logic. Maybe it has something to do with the movie he did with Julia Roberts about conspiracies, which perhaps sparked a curiosity in him that spiraled out of control. The shift from blockbuster hits to sharing bizarre beliefs has been quite jarring for fans who once idolized him. Anyway, he appeared on Joe Rogan, and if you watch for about the first minute below, you’ll see he’s not doing himself any favors, as he rambles on with a fervor that leaves viewers either perplexed or amused, a stark contrast to the confident actor he once was.

Lastly….

You have to be a special kind of stupid to fly a drone into a plane/helicopter that’s trying to put the flames. I agree Steve – wholeheartedly.

I’d be amiss if I didn’t mention it’s my friend Brad’s birthday. He’s been a good friend for many years, and our enjoyable moments together have become some of my fondest memories. The decent camaraderie we share is something I truly cherish, as it has weathered various challenges. It’s incredible how far our friendship has come from its infancy to where it is now, evolving over the years through laughter, support, and mutual respect. This journey of friendship has reinforced my belief that political differences and ideologies shouldn’t ever get in the way of a good friendship. Instead, they can serve as opportunities for deeper conversations and understanding, enriching our bond further and proving that true friendship transcends any boundaries.

Cheers brother!
