Axel is back—this summer. I don’t know if you’re like me and really enjoyed the Beverly Hills Cop franchise. It was all really solid except for that third movie that we’ll pretend never existed.
Beverly Hills Cop 4, officially titled “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F,” is the long-awaited sequel to the iconic action-comedy franchise, set to be released on Netflix in the summer of 2024. After a hiatus of nearly 30 years, Eddie Murphy reprises his iconic role as the wisecracking Detroit cop, Axel Foley, who finds himself back in the affluent Beverly Hills to unravel a conspiracy that threatens the life of his daughter, Jane (Taylour Paige).
Joining Murphy in this new adventure are familiar faces from the original trilogy, including Judge Reinhold as Billy Rosewood, John Ashton as John Taggart, Paul Reiser as Jeffrey Friedman, and Bronson Pinchot as the eccentric art dealer, Serge. The film also introduces fresh talent, with Joseph Gordon-Levitt portraying Foley’s new partner, Bobby Abbot, and Kevin Bacon taking on the role of the Beverly Hills Police Department’s captain.

Golf Member-Guest
The annual Member-Guest Golf Tournament, a cherished event eagerly anticipated by participants, offers a splendid showcase of camaraderie and friendship. Set against the backdrop of meticulously maintained fairways and well rolling greens, the tournament is more than just a competition; it’s a celebration of bonds old and new. As members invite their guests to partake in this delightful tradition, the air buzzes with friendly banter and laughter, setting the stage for a day where every stroke is cheered and every moment cherished.
Between our Derby and our Friday to Saturday to Sunday stroke play round, it’s been a fantastic showcase of all the course has to offer, and excellent friendships have been built.
I wish I had a big complaint about the event but I simply don’t – other than how I played on Saturday. Oh, and my putting would come and go.
The video below of friend Jimmy as he sealed the deal needing only two putts to win their flight in the derby.
Bill Maher – Book
Bill Maher has a new book out called ‘What this Comedia Said Will Shock you’ and he’s been making the rounds on various shows. What do people love about him? He tends to call it on both sides. Or, as I like to say, he’s a 90s Democrat and can’t see where the Democratic party is today. People stick to their talking points. They find an issue, are told how to feel about it, and dig in their heels.
He had a good back-and-forth with Meghn Kelly.
But Bill talks more specifically about his book and the problems that stem from being tribal. It’s my team. I have to vote for them. Below is a decent interview.
And lastly…..
Last night, we celebrated our friend Nicole’s birthday with food and bowling. We had an excellent time. Happy birthday!
