Doge
Doge increasingly seems like a mere publicity stunt. It would have been far better if it had Congressional backing and was executed as intended. The executive branch unilaterally withholding funding from programs already approved by Congress undermines Congress’s authority over the power of the purse.
Elon is set to appear on Sunday Morning this weekend, and a segment from the show has already been leaked. In it, he highlights the hypocrisy of the so-called “Big Beautiful Bill,” which he claims wiped out all his savings while adding trillions to the deficit. Ultimately, I point out that both Democrats and Republicans have a tendency to overspend. The question remains—where does it end?
TACO Trump
Wall Street reportedly has a nickname for Trump: TACO, an acronym for “Trump Always Chickens Out.” The name highlights how his tariffs often failed to stick and perhaps were never intended to truly succeed. Now, picture this—actually saying that to the President. Probably not the wisest move, considering he’s not exactly known for being the most emotionally stable individual. Yet, it did happen. Some Tech
As many of you know, I’m passionate about tech and photography. Google recently launched their premium video creation tool, Veo, which comes with a hefty price tag. However, the results are absolutely stunning and incredibly realistic. It’s a clear sign that we’re entering an era where questioning everything is more important than ever.
Jeanna Stern created a shortish movie with it. An entire AI film. It’ll blow your mind watching it.
RIP Norm
We lost Norm from *Cheers*, a show I’ve always considered one of the greatest comedies ever written. Its finale remains the second most-watched of all time. In honor of that, here’s the final scene featuring Norm. I hope the bar stool is waiting for you.
