Anticipating Andor Season 2: The Rebellion Rises

Good morning. It’s April 19th, and I think I’ve only posted once this week. So let us get the ball rolling. DJ, play that music. I think it’s a good Saturday for some Bob Seger.

The wait is almost over—Andor Season 2 is about to drop us right back into the heart of the Rebellion, and the anticipation couldn’t be higher. Picking up a year after the explosive events on Ferrix, this final season promises to chart Cassian Andor’s transformation from reluctant insurgent to the rebel spy we meet in Rogue One. The stakes are higher, the Empire is tightening its grip, and the Rebellion is about to ignite across the galaxy.

Expect a sweeping narrative that spans four years, with the story unfolding in three-episode arcs that propel us ever closer to the fateful events of Rogue One—and with it, the fate of the galaxy hanging in the balance. Fan favorites return: Diego Luna as Cassian, Genevieve O’Reilly’s Mon Mothma (whose journey into full-fledged rebellion takes center stage), and Ben Mendelsohn as the formidable Orson Krennic, all under the deft guidance of creator Tony Gilroy.

This season is being hailed for its emotional depth, sophisticated storytelling, and the way it enriches the Star Wars universe. The show’s unique structure—covering multiple years with time jumps—means every episode is packed with tension, character growth, and the mounting urgency of a galaxy on the brink of revolution.

With the three-episode premiere set to launch soon, prepare to make the jump to light speed. The Rebellion is calling, and Andor is ready to deliver a conclusion that promises to change how we see the story of Star Wars forever. I can’t wait to see where this journey takes us—let’s punch it!

Lastly, I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention Star Wars Celebration: Japan. Each year, Disney hosts these Star Wars celebrations, showcasing everything happening and upcoming in the Star Wars universe. You might call it a ‘NerdFest,’ held in a different country each year. Although it’s a fraction of the size of San Diego Comic-Con, it likely attracts even more dedicated fans.

The event offers a variety of activities and panels, including exclusive previews of new films, TV shows, and merchandise. Attendees can meet some of the franchise’s beloved actors, creators, and artists, and participate in interactive experiences that bring the galaxy far, far away to life. Fans often dress up as their favorite characters, creating a vibrant and immersive atmosphere. The celebration not only serves as a platform for announcements and reveals but also fosters a sense of community among Star Wars enthusiasts from around the globe. Whether you’re a lifelong fan or new to the saga, Star Wars Celebration is an unforgettable experience that unites people through their shared love for this iconic universe.

Golf..

As many of you know, I’m an avid golfer and consider myself a steward of the game. One of my biggest pet peeves is inflated handicaps, a form of cheating known as ‘sandbagging.’ Golf is meant to be a game of honor, yet for far too long, many have indulged in this dishonest practice.

I get to enjoy a round of golf with two people who I know have questionable handicaps. Yippee

Have a good Saturday everyone!
